Would you say this is exactly the same doll as in my previous post about my felt doll princess? Crazy how a few clothing pieces can change the look completely! She turned into a schoolgirl with her casual blue/purple dress and her handy schoolbag. Can you see that she is already taking along a small card?
I combined different pieces from the book ‘My Felt Doll’ written by Shelly Down to create this look. My niece who recently turned 6 received her as a birthday present. When I asked her what kind of doll she would like to have she replied with ‘somewhere in between a princess and a schoolgirl’. The combination was maybe a bit odd, so I decided to make both outfits for her. She can mix and match in every way she wants now!
I added small buttons to the dress and the schoolbag, so she can easily undress and dress the doll. The panties were made with the same pattern as described in my previous post about the princess doll. I love the fact that I could hide little cards and this wooden 6 in the schoolbag (you can buy the wooden numbers here), so my cousin could explore around a bit. There is much more to come! Zou je zeggen dat dit precies dezelfde vilt pop is van mijn vorige post over de prinses pop? Ik vond het bizar hoe de look kan veranderen door haar slechts een paar andere kledingstukken aan te trekken! Ze was zo omgetoverd in een schoolmeisje, met een alledaags blauw/paars jurkje en haar handige schooltas. Kun je al zien dat er een klein kaartje in verstopt is?
Ik heb verschillende patronen uit het boek ‘My Felt Doll’ geschreven door Shelly Down in deze outfit verwerkt. Mijn nichtje is recentlijk 6 jaar oud geworden en kreeg haar als verjaardagscadeautje. Toen ik haar vroeg wat voor soort pop ze wilde reageerde ze met ‘Iets tussen een prinses en een schoolmeisje in’. De combinatie werd misschien een beetje gek, dus ik besloot beide outfits voor haar te maken. Nu kan ze mix&matchen zoals zij wilt!
Ik heb kleine drukknoopjes bevestigd in de schooltas en de jurk, zodat ze haar makkelijk kunt aan- en uitkleden. Het onderbroekje was gemaakt met hetzelfde patroon van de prinssenoutfit. Ik vond het super leuk om kleine kaartjes en applicaties zoals de houten 6 te verstoppen in de schooltas (je kunt de houten cijfers hier kopen), zodat mijn nichtje nog een beetje op ontdekkingstocht kon gaan. Er komt nog veel meer! Blijf ons volgens om alle updates te zien van de viltcreaties:)
